What is a garbage disposal?

What is a garbage disposal?
A garbage disposal means garbage cleaner in your kitchen. The garbage disposal unit or waste disposal unit is an electronic device. It is usually powered by electricity. This is an automatic solution of a kitchen that can handle waste of your kitchen. Also it is an essential part of our kitchen that can save our valuable time and keep our kitchen steady and clean. It grinds our kitchen waste and sewed them into our sewerage line automatically. You can install it under the kitchen sink between the sink drain and trap. Generally it’s used in the North American household but few commodities used elsewhere.

The machine of garbage disposal was invented in 1927. John W. Hammes was invented the machine, who was an architect and working in Racine. After eleven years of implementation of this product Hammes’s company InSinkErator established this product and started marketing to consumers. InSinkErator was highly successful to convince many people to get this product. In many locations in North America it is mandatory to use a garbage disposal. Since long time Garbage disposal machine was banned in New York because of sewerage damage. After a 21-month study by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, the ban was rescinded in 1997 by local law 1997/071 which amended section 24-518.1, NYC Administrative Code.

Why you need to install a garbage disposal machine?
In our daily life, we are too much busy of our work. So we don’t have extra time to handle our kitchen garbage. In another thing, we don’t feel comfortable to take out our kitchen waste every day. That’s why we want an automatic solution that can handle it automatically. The garbage disposal machine will keep your kitchen clean and steady. You won’t feel bother for your kitchen waste. It will grind most of the waste of your kitchen even hard waste materials like bones and takes it to your sewerage drain line smoothly. So, why you will not install it in your kitchen? If you ask me, is it needed to me? I will say, you need to install it into your sink and get relax.

How do garbage disposal works?
Generally many people think a garbage disposal machine works like a blender; also they think it works by spinning blade chopping and breaking down the waste to a sewerage drain line. But it is not true. It works in a different way and there no blade installed in the garbage disposal machine which can spin and chopping the waste. The real technology is impellers (or lugs) mounted on a spinning plate use centrifugal force to continuously force food waste particles against a stationary grind ring. The grinding ring specially throws out the waste, for grinding and liquefying the waste. After they were grinded, the running water flushes the particles through the grind ring and out of the disposer and into your waste water pipe. From there it flows to the wastewater treatment plant or your septic system.
